Dr. O’Connor has served as a White House
physician since 2006 and, in February
2009, was appointed Physician to the
Vice-President of the United States.
PETER RHEE, MD, MPH, FACS, FCCM
(p) Dr. Rhee is chief of trauma, critical care,
burns, and emergency surgery; professor
of surgery; and the Martin Gluck Endowed
Chair, department of surgery, University of
Arizona, Tucson. Dr. Rhee is a retired U.S.
Navy Captain and a founding member of the
Tactical Combat Casualty Care Committee.
RONALD M. STEWART, MD, FACS
(q) Dr. Stewart is professor of surgery and
anesthesia and Dr. Witten B. Russ Chair in
Surgery, department of surgery, and director
of trauma service, University of Texas Health
Science Center, San Antonio. He has served
as the board chair of the Southwest Texas
Regional Advisory Council for Trauma
since 1996. He is Chair of the ACS COT.
ANDREW L. WARSHAW, MD, FACS
(r) Dr. Warshaw is the W. Gerald Austen
Distinguished Professor of Surgery at
Harvard Medical School and surgeon-in-chief and chairman emeritus, department of
surgery, Massachusetts General Hospital. He
is a senior consultant for international and
regional clinical relations at Massachusetts
General Hospital and Partners HealthCare,
Boston. He is President of the ACS.
LEONARD WEIRETER, MD, FACS
(s) Dr. Weireter is the Arthur and Marie Kirk
Family Professor of Surgery, Eastern Virginia
Medical School, Norfolk. Dr. Weireter
has chaired the oversight committee
responsible for trauma care in Virginia
and is Chair of the ACS COT Disaster and
Mass Casualty Management Committee.
JONATHAN WOODSON, MD, FACS
(t) Dr. Woodson is Assistant Secretary
of Defense for Health Affairs, U.S.
DoD. He co-chairs the Armed Services
Biomedical Research Evaluation and
Management Committee, which facilitates
oversight of DoD biomedical research.
